Adjusting climate control Learn how you and your passengers can ride comfortably by adjusting the climate control system options. Using dual zone automatic temperature controls (if equipped), the cabin temperature can be set separately for the driver and passenger, synced for both positions or automatically controlled. How do I use the automatic operation feature? This available feature controls the fan speed, air delivery, air conditioning and recirculation in order to heat or cool the vehicle to the desired temperature. When AUTO is lit, all four functions operate automatically. Each function can also be manually set and the selected setting is displayed. 1. Set the temperature. Allow the system time to stabilize. 2. Press AUTO. 3. Adjust the temperature as needed for best comfort. How do I sync the driver and passenger temperatures?
With available SYNC, the driver and passenger temperature settings can be easily synchronized. 1. Press Sync to link the passenger temperature setting to the driver setting. 2. The SYNC indicator light will turn on. 3. When the passenger setting is adjusted, SYNC will be interrupted, and the SYNC indicator light will turn off. What are the air delivery modes? If equipped, the deliver mode buttons allow you to control the direction of the airflow. A combination of the three controls can be selected. An indicator light comes on in the selected mode button. DEFOG Air is directed to the windshield, outboard instrument panel outlets and side window outlets. VENT Air is directed to the instrument panel outlets. FLOOR Air is directed to the floor outlets, with some air directed to the windshield, outboard instrument panel outlets and side window outlets. DUAL ZONE AND REAR CLIMATE CONTROL If equipped, the temperature can be adjusted separately for the driver and passenger. Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the driver or passenger temperature setting. REAR CONTROL LOCKOUT If equipped, press Rear Control Lockout (location varies) to lock or unlock control of the rear climate control system from the front seat. When locked the rear climate control system cannot be adjusted from the rear climate controls. SOLAR SENSOR If equipped, the solar sensor, on top of the instrument panel near the windshield, monitors the solar heat. The climate control system uses the sensor information to adjust the temperature, fan speed, recirculation, and air delivery mode for best comfort. Do not cover the sensor; otherwise the automatic climate control system may not work properly. AUTO DEFOG If equipped, the climate control system may have a sensor to automatically detect high humidity inside the vehicle. When high humidity is detected, the climate control system may adjust to outside air supply and turn on the air conditioner. The fan speed may slightly increase to help prevent fogging. If the climate control system does not detect possible window fogging, it returns to normal operation.
