​The all-new Chevrolet Colorado beat a crowded field to win the coveted “Golden Calipers” as MotorTrend’s 2024 Truck of the Year. This latest award marks the third time Colorado came out on top in MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year competition following the mid-size truck’s win in 2015 and 2016. MotorTrend credited the Colorado’s modern interior, versatile bed and strong feature content, on top of incredible off-road capability across the lineup, as part of its winning package.

“The Colorado lineup’s performance on- and off-road, particularly the ZR2's prowess, is nothing short of exceptional, rivaling even some of the most revered off-road vehicles available,” said Ed Loh, MotorTrend Group head of editorial. “Earning MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year award is a testament to the Colorado’s all-encompassing excellence across various terrains and utility needs.”

The Truck of the Year title is one of MotorTrend’s most prestigious awards and Colorado bested 13 different models this year. Eligible trucks compete across six key criteria, including safety, advancement in design and performance of intended function.

​The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Trax secured one of 10 coveted spots on Car and Driver’s 2024 10Best Trucks and SUVs list — a list that awards trucks and SUVs for delivering incredible value and a great driving experience. In addition, Car and Driver also named the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and E-Ray to its 10Best Cars list.

Car and Driver’s testing in this year’s 10Best competition included the evaluation of more than 80 new SUVs, trucks and cars. All eligible award winners must be available for purchase in January 2024 and have a starting MSRP under $110,000, including any federal tax and destination charges. Editors assign each vehicle a score of zero to 100, and the votes are tallied and averaged to arrive at the 10Best of 2024.
