The 2019 Camaro ZL1 1LE — the fastest, most track-capable Camaro ever — will offer an available 10-speed automatic transmission beginning late February. During development, Chevy engineers pushed the limits of the automatic transmission to be more than one half second faster than the standard manual on General Motors’ 2.9-mile Milford Road Course. In fact, on longer tracks like the Nürburgring where you can take advantage of the lightning-quick shifts and all 10 gears, drivers can expect to shave off several seconds from their previous lap times with the six-speed manual ZL1 1LE. “This transmission is optimized for speed,” said Camaro Chief Engineer Mark Dickens. “With unique Track Mode calibrations and 10 gears, you are always in the perfect gear when rolling on or off the throttle. You may not be a professional race car driver, but now you can shift like one.” Not only does the 10-speed transmission save time at the track, it gives customers more performance options. The automatic provides standard paddle shifters for when they want a more engaging experience.

The model is an exact life-size replica of the all-new 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, and it is the first full-size Chevy vehicle built entirely of LEGO bricks.
The LEGO Silverado continues the partnership between Chevy and Warner Bros. Pictures that began in 2017 with “The LEGO Batman Movie” and the LEGO Batmobile from Chevy. This partnership builds on the Silverado marketing efforts that launched earlier this month. A custom mini-build of the Silverado High Country will make an appearance in the new big-screen animated adventure “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” when it debuts in theaters on Feb. 8. Chevrolet Offers up to 3 Free Months of OnStar Coverage to Give Owners Peace of Mind This Winter1/9/2019 As a cold winter with above-normal snowfall is forecasted1, Chevrolet is providing customers with a little extra peace of mind. Starting today, Chevrolet is offering up to6 three complimentary months of OnStar2 safety and security coverage to more than 19 million eligible customers. The offer gives owners an extra layer of security during the winter months, which can bring dangerous driving conditions with heavy snowfall, ice and freezing rain. The services available, such as Automatic Crash Response3, Roadside Assistance4, Emergency Services5, Crisis Assist5 and access to a live advisor at the push of a button, can help owners feel more secure on the road when driving conditions worsen. “These services can help Chevy customers drive with confidence during some of the most dangerous times to be on the road,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet Marketing. “With OnStar, we’re bringing peace of mind to owners, knowing that an advisor is ready to help.” When the 2020 Silverado HD debuts in February 2019 it will be the most capable and most advanced Silverado HD ever. It will also be the third all-new Silverado model from Chevrolet in just 18 months — each designed for different customers. “We know the needs and priorities of heavy-duty customers are different than those of either light-duty or medium-duty customers,” said Jaclyn McQuaid, chief engineer, Silverado HD. “As such, we built a heavy-duty truck tailor-made for them that has more differentiation than ever before from light-duty models, offers advanced towing technologies to improve towing confidence and includes new features such as the integrated Bedstep, which makes it easier to access the bed while pulling a fifth-wheel trailer.” Built at the Flint Assembly plant in Flint, Mich., the new Silverado HD’s design has a bold, sculpted form that follows its enhanced heavy-duty function, differentiating it from the light-duty Silverado. In fact, the 2020 Silverado HD exterior shares only the roof with its Silverado 1500 stablemate — every other piece of sheet metal is exclusive to Silverado HD. |
