 Chevrolet announced today that a select number of 2016 Chevrolet Silverados will be offered with eAssist technology. The new mild-hybrid electrical system leverages many of the technologies and components from Chevrolet’s lineup of innovative electric vehicles – including battery cells from the Malibu Hybrid and software controls developed for the Volt. As a result, Chevrolet can deliver a low-volume, affordably priced hybrid pickup that delivers uncompromised capability and up to 13 percent better fuel economy in city driving.
“Silverado already leads the full-size truck segment in V8 fuel economy,” said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevrolet Trucks. “For customers and small-business owners who use their trucks for more urban driving, the addition of eAssist can further reduce their fuel costs without sacrificing the utility they expect in a full-size truck.” Wishing you a very Happy Easter that is filled with plenty of love and happiness. 
 The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is poised to challenge the most advanced sports coupes in the world in any measure – with unprecedented levels of technology, refinement, track capability and straight-line acceleration.
“The Camaro ZL1 is designed to excel at everything,” said Mark Reuss, executive vice president of Global Product Development. “It’s a 2+2 coupe offering incredible performance – acceleration, handling and braking – with the highest levels of technology and perfect chassis damping, making it suitable for everyday driving. Handling capability starts with the lightweight, stiffer structure of the all-new sixth-Gen Camaro, married with Magnetic Ride suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential. Standard technologies include Driver Mode Selector, dual-mode exhaust and advanced connectivity features.  Four Chevrolet vehicles ranked highest in their segments in the 2016 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study. Additionally, two other Chevrolet models placed in the Top 3 in their respective segments, helping the brand achieve its best results ever in the benchmark dependability study.

Power for having the most dependable vehicles in key segments is a tremendous honor and demonstration that Chevrolet is the brand that customers can truly count on.”  U.S. Chevrolet dealers now have the software to update eight-inch MyLink systems with Android AutoTM capability in select 2016 model year vehicles. The update is only available through Chevrolet dealers.
Owners of 2016 model year Chevrolet vehicles that qualify for the software update will receive a communication from the brand on how to receive the update at no cost. The update is expected to take approximately 30 minutes. “We are working with our dealers to make the software update as quick and easy as possible to minimize any inconvenience to our owners,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet. Chevrolet models with the seven-inch MyLink system already include both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability and therefore do not require any update. Apple CarPlay has been integrated with both the seven-inch and eight-inch MyLink systems in select vehicles since the start of the 2016 model year.
