Courtesy Chevrolet is proud to bring you footage of the all-new Camaro Z28, or the "HP Edition" as it is sometimes referred to. HEAR and SEE the hi-performance Camaro in action! Above photos show some of the first significant cosmetic revisions to the 5th generation Camaro since its debut including new tail lights, rear bumper reflectors, and side view mirror designs. The lights are now powered by LED bulbs.
The side view mirrors are larger. Turn signals have been integrated into the side view mirrors to enhance safety. If these are in fact production intent facelift changes, we're not sure exactly when these new lights will begin appearing on Camaros, but the 2012 model year switchover may be a good bet, which doesn't occur until middle of 2011. NOTE: the location of this sighting (in Germany) indicates that some or all of these changes may be intended for export only. Time will soon tell. Some more 2012 Camaro facts and figures:

The same technology that powers the all-new Chevrolet Volt may soon find its way into a minivan “in the next few years,” according to General Motors Co. CEO Dan Akerson. GM officials have long said that the technology will find its way into other vehicles, besides the Volt sedan. But so far, GM has been quiet on which specific models would likely receive it. At the 2011 Automotive News World Congress, Akerson said that for the next-generation Volt, GM will focus its efforts on cost reduction. Broadening the Volt lineup, and introducing a minivan, could become a part of that strategy. “We have been pleased and a bit surprised with the initial demands, initial orders for Volts,” Akerson said. “We don’t want to miss the opportunity.” In addition to the Volt, Akerson also said that 10 percent of GM’s lineup will include hybrids, plug-in hybrids, or electric vehicles within the next decade. The OnStar safety system is escaping from the boundaries of General Motors and will be available in the spring to people who own cars and trucks made by other auto companies, the Associated Press reports. From the AP: To get the service, though, people have to buy a special OnStar rearview mirror for $299 and then pay a monthly fee that starts at $18.95. The system, known for its television commercials with operators sending help to people in car crashes, will be sold at Best Buy and other retailers for use in non-GM vehicles and older GM cars and trucks that don't have the service, the company said Tuesday night at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. GM says the mirror will work on 99% of the 20 top-selling non-GM vehicles from the past 10 years, or about 55 million cars and trucks. OnStar, which began in 1996, has more than 6 million subscribers in the U.S., Canada and China. Recharging smartphones, digital music players and other personal electronics cordlessly will be as easy as dropping them onto the console of a car under a deal being announced today by General Motors. But GM (GM) might have a bigger goal in sight. The deal with Powermat offers the possibility that someday soon electric cars could be recharged without plugging them in. GM will take a $5 million stake in Powermat, a company that sells cordless charging units for home use. It is making the announcement at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Consumers Digest Congratulates Chevrolet as part of the 2011 Automotive Best Buy Award Winners.1/4/2011 The Chevrolet Traverse family-size crossover SUV remains among the best in the business by delivering pleasing performance, an accommodating interior and an appealing exterior. A 288-hp, 3.6-liter V6 engine delivers ample power and is mated to a smooth-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle handles more easily than its size might indicate, and it delivers a comfortable ride over rough roads. An all-wheel-drive system is optional. The SUV's roomy cabin can fit seven or eight passengers, depending on the seating arrangement; second-row seats that fold and slide forward make access to the third row easier. Most popular features are available, including a backup camera and backseat DVD system, although some of the latest automotive gizmos (like a blind-spot warning system) aren't available. 2011 Chevrolet Cruze If you're looking at a Honda Civic, a Toyota Corolla or a Ford Focus, you owe it to yourself to compare them to the all-new Chevy Cruze. Just have a look at the comparison chart below. The Cruze truly does beat the competition. Come down to Courtesy Chevrolet and Dare to Compare. The 2011 Chevy Cruze is the quintessential American thing to do: Take the best the world has to offer and put it all into one inspiring package. The all new 2011 Chevy Cruze has enough test miles on its tires to circle the Earth over 160 times. The Cruze made a lot of stops as it went around the globe, each one seemingly more punishing than the last. Chevy Cruze took on driving rain, mountains, deserts, potholes, mud, bad roads, ice, snow, dry heat, humidity and more. After all that, it finally hit the test track and showed just how fun it was to drive. Even after 4,000,000 test miles, there's much more of the Cruze story to tell. BMW Rapid change is one of the defining features of the car industry we know and love. For more than one hundred years, manufacturers have been battling tooth and nail to build bigger, better, cleverer and faster cars that will out-class rivals and part the motorists from their cash. There's no suggestion that this lightening pace of change is going to change anytime soon. Over the 15 years that MSN has been covering the car industry, the speed at which our cars have developed has been clear for all to see. Drive any model hailing from 1995 and it will feel decidedly dated next to a modern equivalent. That's virtually certain, but what about the differences between the cars we drive now and the ones we will be driving in another 15 years' time? Without a functioning crystal ball, or a DeLorean with the time machine option fitted, seeing into the future is an inexact science. That's not to say we can't have a stab at it though. Here are some of the areas where the car of 2025 is likely to be rather different. |
